Planning For Android Game: Part 1

The Game we are building is a survival Top-down dungeon crawler. Where the player must make their way through the dungeon avoiding monsters and solve puzzles added by weapons all around the map. The player will have a choice of five characters, for example, the American football player; who is a heavy weapons specialist, with high resistance and high health. To try and complete the dungeon.
Whilst planning for this game we used sauces from our old games like the structure of the dungeon from Osborne's game maze run as seen in the image below. This structure allows multiple paths to be taken to the end goal.

Which also frees us to create different events that will be involved in the game such as these puzzles: 

• Levers: Which appear in some rooms and when pulled trigger events unless the correct one is pulled to let you pass through.
• Swinging Blades: Which the player has to find the right timing to pass-through
• Rolling log: Allowing the player to attempt to balance as they move forward.

Each of the puzzles and many more add a higher difficulty to the game and with a score of how fast the player finishes each dungeon could add to the replayability that we are going for.
As we continue making this game with more information being shown through our social media including WordPress many changes will happen but the core of the game will not change I hope you continue with us on the journey and many more posts will be added in the upcoming months
