Characters and Storyboard
In the game, the player will take the role of governor and depending on his choices he will either be branded as lord of the land or tyrant of the land with at this moment will only give certain speech texts and unique skin. With his available resources, the player can place the buildings and features on their unique map, including farmlands, industry, civ buildings (houses, etc.) and military buildings and defences. They will be limited civilians on the map and only multiply with certain buildings on the ground so the player has to be careful what buildings you make otherwise the game will easily tip against their favour. Managing the land is only half of the current game as the second half is controlling the never-ending hordes of zombies constantly attacking meaning they will have to build traps, mounted archers, and walls to control the flow of the zombies.
Characters
In this, I only created three characters for the time being The Tank, The Knight and the Exploder who in their own way change the dynamic of the game drastically in each of their appearances. They will act as events of sort for the player to keep the game fresh.
Tank
The Tank is a large being, one of the three infected commanders with a large pool of health for a short amount of time. It will only appear if special requirements have been met and players with keep eyes will be able to spot these requirements beforehand.
Exploder
The Explorer though larger and is treated as a special appears with no prior warning and appears more consistently than the other two. With its smaller health pool it really only waits to die to inflict damage.
The second special I created was the Exploder, who acts like the Unknowns (Generic monsters) Slow moving and using its arms to base attack anything in its path. However, once it's killed It explodes releasing smaller arachnid looking creatures who continue the rampage of destroying everything in their path. Its health when alive is three hundred which is higher than the average Unknown but not my much and once dead its spawns have healths of twenty-five with several spawning.
Knight
The Knight is a larger slender being that is designed to simple punish the players brutally. It will have a one in five hundred chance of appearing and upon its first appearence, it will hopefully put fear in players as to when another one will appear keeping them alert on all times and be better prepared for next time.
The Knight is extremely agile with formidable strength and agility. Its main goal is simple, destroy marked buildings then do as much damage as it can before being killed. The Knight lets out a high pitch scream before attacking your village, It uses its blades for arms to attack everything and legs to jump extreme distances. With a health pool of eight hundred, it's easier to kill but because of its speed and damage ability, the player needs to kill it as fast as they can.
Storyboard
These are some of the concepts we came up with to how we think the game should be designed and how the camera will ct. It also shows the slow progression of the game easing the player in with hints and instantly showing them how they need to constantly check for improvements in the city and wait for an attack.
